Project Environmental Book – “Beyond Us”
A bilingual picture book written, illustrated, and published by Sunshine Village students.
Project Environmental Book – “Beyond Us”
“Beyond Us” is one of Sunshine Village’s most emotionally rich and internationally significant projects.
This is a bilingual (Vietnamese-English) picture book created and completed over three years by the young members of the Nurture the Nature group at Sunshine Village.
A comprehensive project: from idea – script – drawing – design – marketing
The students participating in the project directly carried out all stages:
Writing the script for the environmental story
Drawing illustrations in their own style
Designing the layout, adjusting colors, and creating a print draft
Discussing with the editor to finalize the book
Creating their own promotional campaign
Building the Nurture the Nature fan page to spread the message
The project is not just about “making a book,” but a journey to help children:
Develop systemic thinking
Manage real-world projects
Develop communication and presentation skills
Cultivate a love for nature and responsibility towards the world
Officially published – reaching the world
The book has been published in Vietnam by Thai Ha Publishing House, and even more remarkably:

During cultural exchanges and international competitions, when Sunshine Villagers brought “Beyond Us” to friends around the world, children from all over the globe were amazed:

“This story is so touching!”
The story about the environment – both touching and adorable – written from the innocent yet powerful perspective of Vietnamese children, has touched the hearts of many.
“Beyond Us” is more than just a book.
It is the voice of the younger generation about the future of the earth.
It is one of Sunshine Village’s most emotionally rich and internationally significant projects.
